No matter how much we fiddled and pushed the Asus P5Q Deluxe we couldn't get the full 1,150MHz out of it. At 1,141MHz though the system was pretty much fully stable with memory timings of 5-5-5-18-2T.

So while at 1,141MHz the Flex II reads faster in write and copy speeds here, that's likely due to the extra CPU front side bus to get to these speeds - because of the loosened timings, the read bandwidth is actually almost the same as at 1,066MHz 5-5-5-15-2T but that also used a lower tRD and other improved performance tweaks in the Asus BIOS.

Both eclipse the performance of the 800MHz semi-low latency Crucial 4GB kit we previously reviewed though.

Sisoft Sandra tells a similar story, where both the 1,066MHz medium latency and 1,141MHz medium-high latency both perform about the same, and both are better than the basic Crucial.
